TAGLIONI
An Evening with Taglioni is based on a true story. When legendary ballerina Marie Taglioni, the first woman to ever go 'en pointe' retired, her pointe shoes were bought by a fan, cooked at a lavish dinner party and served to 35 guests.
Made in partnership with English National Ballet and featuring 20 of their dancers alongside a principal cast of actors and dancers, including Alessandra Ferri and Antonia Franceschi. An Evening with Taglioni is an independently produced film and was made with support from Arts Council England.
An Evening with Taglioni premiered at the Venice Biennale 2021.
